Application Support & Maintenance Engineer

  • Required Experience: 2–4 years in IT support, application maintenance, or DevOps.

  • Key Tech Stack: Linux, SQL, Docker, AWS/Cloudflare, Monitoring tools (Sentry, Datadog).

  • Job Details:

    • Monitor, maintain, and upgrade existing enterprise application management systems.

    • Troubleshoot production bugs, resolve server-side errors, and manage software patch deployments.

    • Provide technical support and documentation to ensure 99.9% application uptime.

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Provide continuous, high-tier technical oversight for critical enterprise management software systems.

    • Monitor system health metrics actively using enterprise monitoring platforms to preemptively detect system anomalies.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex infrastructure failures, production bugs, and software runtime errors.

    • Execute regular software patches, database migrations, and structural system updates with zero client downtime.

    • Document and maintain thorough operational playbooks, troubleshooting manuals, and configuration logs for the team.

    • Coordinate cross-functionally with development teams to ensure software stability during new feature rollouts.

    • Manage, configure, and refine centralized logging mechanisms to isolate distributed application failures rapidly.

    • Guarantee the operational integrity and strict maintenance of server-side data backups and recovery protocols.

    • Optimize application hosting environments to maintain an absolute baseline of 99.9% operational uptime.

    • Define, track, and adhere strictly to internal SLA guidelines for incident responses and issue resolutions.

    • Participate in rotating on-call production schedules to handle immediate, high-priority system alerts.

    • Automate routine environment checkups, log rotations, and resource cleanups using specialized scripting.

  • Requirements

    • 2 to 4 years of proven hands-on experience in production application support, DevOps, or system administration.

    • Strong commands over Linux operating system internals, shell scripting, and complex database SQL query design.

    • Extensive experience handling containerized ecosystems utilizing tools like Docker and orchestration layers.

    • Solid experience working within cloud infrastructures and serverless setups like AWS or Cloudflare.

    • Deep knowledge of modern APM application performance monitoring software including platforms like Sentry or Datadog.

    • Superb diagnostic mindset with an ability to communicate complex system problems clearly to stakeholders.
